The Amazing Voive of Susan Boyle

Britain really got a talent as showcased by Susan Boyle, a 47 year old Scottish, who stunned the judges of Britain's Got A Talent. Though people (and even the judges) initially laughed at Susan when she was entering the stage, she garnered thumbs up and even standing ovation after she sang! It was truly remarkable! How a 47 year old woman got a voice as wonderful as Leah Salonga is such an amazing story and quite a loss that her talent wasnt discovered years ago or shall I say, during her teeanage life! Nonetheless, I'm sure there's so much surprises that awaits her!

The first time my friend told me about Boyle, I thought she's like the Bulgarian idol who sang Ken Lee. But I was wrong! Totally wrong! The woman who sang Ken Lee was also wonderful, but Boyle is a lot different. Indeed, age and looks doesnt matter! Susan Boyle acted like a typical woman but she'll hit you with a bang!

So next time, don't just judge a book by its cover. Though the cover matters, the content is much essential!

I got a copy of what Susan Boyle sang, Les Miserables' I Dreamed a Dream. Check it out here!

Lyrics of Susan Boyle's I Dreamed a Dream

Here is the copy of Les Miserables' I Dreamed a Dream, sung by Susan Boyle during the Britain's Got A Talent 2009.

Boyle gave me goosebumps! I myself was amazed! Cheers!

There was a time when men were kindWhen their voices were soft. And their words invitingThere was a time when love was blind. And the world was a songAnd the song was excitingThere was a timeThen it all went wrong.

I dreamed a dream in time gone byWhen hope was high. And life worth livingI dreamed that love would never dieI dreamed that God would be forgiving. Then I was young and unafraidWhen dreams were made and used and wasted. There was no ransom to be paid. No song unsung, no wine untasted.

But the tigers come at night. With their voices soft as thunder. As they tear your hopes apart. And they turn your dream to shame.

He slept a summer by my side. He filled my days with endless wonder. He took my childhood in his strideBut he was gone when autumn came.

And still I dream he’ll come to me. That we will live the years together. But there are dreams that cannot be. And there are storms we cannot weather.

I had a dream my life would be. So different from this hell I’m living. So different now from what it seems. Now life has killed the dream I dreamed.

Madonna's Adoption Rejected by Court

“Our official policy is that we do not encourage our children to be sent into broken homes. [Madonna's] relationships may negatively affect the adoption of Mercy“, claimed a senior official Simon Chisale from Malawi’s Ministry of Women and Child Welfare Development.

The official also added, “The news she is linked to another woman’s husband and a young man less than half her age makes us question her morals“.

“We do not only look at the material issues, but also the moral standing of prospective adoptive parents, because we do not want our children’s morals to be corrupted”, Chisale remarked.

Guy Ritchie was saddened up by the failed attempt to adopt of his ex-wife Madonna to a 3-year-old Chifundo "Mercy" James from Malawi.
"Madonna is a fantastic and loving mother who cares deeply about her own children, and children who may need additional help and support," he said in a statement Friday.

"I fully supported Madonna in her decision to apply for this adoption, and I am saddened that her application has been rejected. She is motivated only by being a caring parent who seeks to share some of the advantages and opportunities that her life has given her," he said of his ex, who has appealed Friday's surprise ruling.

"This time it did not work out, but there will be other opportunities and I wish her well in them," Ritchie concluded. "She is a great mum."
Madonna and Ritchie -- who divorced last year after eight years of marriage.

According to this kind of situation, is it rational to judge a mother who loves her children while being a 'not-so-good' wife?

I asked this because, no matter how bad a woman can be, I believe she'll never forget about her children. Though she might not be the best wife, but mothers will always be a loving mum.

G20 Update : Facing Economic Crisis

The whole world is suffering from economic crisis and G-20 is taking an action to stand out such chaos. The G-20 (which is known as the Group of Twenty finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors) has indeed contributed and strengthened the international financial architecture and to foster sustainable economic growth and development. The role and the aim of group is to tackle the international financial and economic crisis, restore worldwide financial stability, lead the international economic recovery and secure a sustainable future for all countries.

The financial markets and the world economy continue to face serious global challenges and the severity of the crisis and ongoing uncertainties demonstrate the need for urgent action. During the United Kingdoms Chair, the immediate priority will be to gain further agreements for a concerted, co-ordinated international response.

Everyone was so optimistic during the summit and that they believe the importance of government actions will be magnified the more they are coordinated across the globe.

ITUC General Secretary Guy Ryder said: "We are covering every possible base in alerting world leaders to the depth of anger and frustration felt by working people everywhere at the complete failure of unregulated capitalism."

"People are paying for this disastrous failure of governance with their jobs and livelihood, and nothing less than a complete overhaul of the system can meet the urgent needs of this moment."

However, he was deeply worried that G20 governments are not yet ready to show the necessary leadership. "Every moment they delay taking the far-reaching decisions needed means more jobs lost and more people falling into poverty."

OBAMA: LATEST JOBLESS REPORT

US President Barack Obama is under a huge challenge, facing the highest rate of unemployment which is about 5 million in total (under his term), since 1983, said the US Labor Department.

BADEN-BADEN, Germany (AP) -- President Barack Obama says a new report on unemployment in the United States is a "stark reminder" of the global challenges created by the economic crisis.
Obama spoke about the U.S. jobless picture from Baden-Baden, Germany, where he met Friday with German Chancellor Angela Merkel before a NATO conference in the German resort town.
Speaking about the sliding economy and the loss of jobs in the U.S., Obama said no nation can isolate itself from the global market. He said that without concerted and united global action, there will be "collective failure."
